Further acquisition for Ellis Bates Group

Davidson Webber LLP acted for the Ellis Bates insurance group in the Group’s acquisition of and relocation to the Adam House building off Ripon Road, Harrogate. The acquisition was backed by funding from The Royal Bank of Scotland plc for whom Davidson Webber also acted and was coupled with a number of leasebacks including one to the previous owners, Sports Hospitality Holdings. Managing Partner Russell Davidson said “this was a complex transaction involving eight parties and with funding from a number of sources which had to be put in place, along with the leasebacks, by a deadline which could not be moved.
