Harrogate-based commercial law specialist, Davidson Webber LLP has been hailed as a great place to work by independent assessors who have awarded the company the Investors in People (IiP) standard.
Harrogate MP, Phil Willis presented the seven-strong team – which aims to be North Yorkshire’s recognised alternative to Leeds, London and other leading UK business centres for clients requiring high quality legal advice – with the accreditation.
IiP assessor Meryl Evans, praised the effectiveness of external courses and on the job coaching available to staff – along with the approachability of MD Russell Davidson who champions training and coaches his team in management skills.
The firm, whose legal staff have held senior roles in national and international practices, recently completed the new lease of the Selfridge Hotel in London on behalf of the Thistle Hotels Group.
Commented Phil Willis: “The IiP standard is a proven framework for delivering business improvement through people, it is a testament to Davidson Webber’s desire to outperform and to offer the highest standard of service to both its staff and clients.”
Said Russell Davidson: “Achieving IiP reinforces our commitment to developing our staff to their full potential and to ensure that every employee feels valued. As a growing business, it’s tremendous that the team has bought into our shared vision as a small but highly experienced practice which provides a viable alternative to large city firms.”
