David joined Davidson Webber LLP as a Consultant in November 2006.
He has specialised in employment law throughout his career. He trained in London and was a partner in the UK’s largest national law firm for over twenty years, most recently leading its Human Resources department in Leeds.
His work encompasses both non contentious and contentious work with particular emphasis on the employment law aspects of mergers and acquisitions and contracting out, contracts and service agreements, restrictive covenants, redundancies and restructuring, disciplinary and grievance issues, termination of employment and employment law claims.
David prides himself on his pragmatic approach to employment law problems combining clear advice and commercial awareness.
He acts mainly for employers (including some well known listed companies) but also deals with engagement and termination advice for directors and senior executives.
David is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and was a visiting lecturer on one of the University of Bradford’s MBA courses for three years
