Neil’s expertise includes all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, MBOs / MBIs, banking, refinancing, private equity and venture capital work, business turnarounds and start ups, reorganisations and restructurings, de-mergers, share buy backs, share options, joint ventures and shareholder agreements and protection. He also covers other general company commercial work including franchise, sale and supply, distribution and other commercial agreements, trading terms and conditions, and minority shareholder protection.
Neil trained and qualified as an in-house banking and finance lawyer with Northern Rock plc. On qualification in 1996 he moved into private practice to build his career as a company commercial lawyer. Prior to joining the growing team at Davidson Webber LLP in October 2005, Neil spent 10 years with two top Newcastle national law firms.
Neil thrives on providing practical and commercially focused legal advice with a dedicated, and highly personable and thorough approach. He is solutions orientated and has good business acumen. He prides himself on his co-ordination and project management skills, pulling the deal together, driving it forward and getting it done on time, within budget, every time !
