Heading an extensive landlord and tenant practice, including FRI lettings, rent sharing and turnover leases, Russell's expertise includes unusual rent review provisions, contested renewals and use of leases as joint venture vehicles.
Clients include developers, investors and public authorities. Past transactions include the re-development of a town centre market for a local council, new health centres (both within and outside the PFI), the acquisition and disposal of major development sites in Leeds, London and other parts of the country, (including overage and clawback provisions); the disposal and acquisition of large portfolios including running a team dealing with the disposal of 250 sites in one transaction.
